ThinkFirst for Kids presenters discuss five key safety messages: pedestrian and vehicular safety, water safety, bicycle safety, violence prevention and sports and recreational safety. The "Street Smart" video enhances these safety messages by featuring everyday scenarios.
ThinkFirst for Kids Curriculum is designed to be presented in a classroom format and is fully integrated into the elementary school curriculum. Each grade (1-3) has a separate curriculum and an array of classroom activities designed specifically for their grade level. Activities are designed to be integrated into various subjects, such as mathematics and science. The goal is to help students develop safety habits that will minimize their risks of sustaining a brain or spinal cord injury. The intent is to make the learning experience fun, yet meaningful, and to involve not only students, but teachers, parents, and the community as well.
