Ruth Bristol, MD
Pediatric Neurosurgeon
Dr. Ruth Bristol joined Barrow Neurosurgical Associates in September 2008. She is a member of the Hypothalamic Hamartoma and the Children's Cleft and Craniofacial Programs at Barrow. She specializes in all areas of pediatric neurosurgery, including brain and spine tumors, spinal developmental anomalies (tethered cord, myelomeningocele, trauma, plagiocephaly, craniosynostosis, epilepsy, hydrocephalus, macro and microcephaly, dermoid cysts, muscle and nerve biopsies.
Originally from New Hampshire, Dr. Bristol, earned her medical degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. She then completed a general surgical internship at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, followed by a Neurological Surgery residency at the Barrow Neurological Institute. After completing a Pediatric Neurosurgery Fellowship at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, Dr. Bristol returned to Barrow.
