Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis (MS) affects multiple areas of the brain and spinal cord, leaving lesions that interfere with the ability of the nervous system to send and receive signals. An individual with multiple sclerosis may experience trouble walking, muscle stiffness or spasms, weakness, vision problems, or numbness or tingling sensations, among other symptoms.
Multiple sclerosis specialists at Barrow strive to alleviate patients' symptoms, to educate patients about their care and the course of their illness, and to find new ways to treat and possibly one day to cure multiple sclerosis.
